Listia: Auctions for Free Stuff

I recently came across Listia, an auction site with free stuff, and it seemed like something worth sharing. The site uses points, which you can earn by giving away free things (or by purchasing points directly), and which you can use to get free stuff.

I know this isn’t directly about cute things, but there are some cute things posted on the site by various sellers, including myself. If you sign up, you’ll get some points to start with, so check it out.

Usa Colle

Earlier this summer, Walker Books released two illustrated books in a new “Moshi Moshi Kawaii” series, in which you search for the bunny-pill characters, kind of like the Where’s Waldo? books. However, these characters aren’t new; they are originally from Japanese company Mindwave and were released in 2002 as “Usa Colle.” The company sold a limited selection of Usa Colle stationery goods and toys at the time, though they’re pretty hard to find these days.

The old site at UsaColle.com is a bit dated now and is mostly in Japanese, but it has some neat things to check out. There are images of all the original characters, short Flash animations to watch, pretty desktop wallpapers and printables to download, and even a cute little game to play.

I’m cleaning up my Japanese stationery collection a bit, so I decided to sell some of it on an eCrater shop. So far, I have stickers, letter sets, memo pads, a few toys, and other cute things. Some are new, some are slightly used, but they’re all in good condition and listed for fair prices.

Cupcake Shoppe Stationery

Chronicle Books just released a cute stationery set called Cupcake Shoppe, with a bakery full of cupcakes wearing mustaches. I’m not sure why cupcakes would have mustaches, but they are cute and match the baker who made them.

The She Likes Cute shop on Etsy is full of felt toys, pin badges, and other items of extreme cuteness. I can’t decide which one is cutest: the happy felt pudding or the smiling piles of poo? :D
